Welcome to Jwala, operated by Sonic Technologies. Because Jwala interacts with your personal thoughts and emotions, we treat the protection of your data as a fundamental responsibility — not an afterthought. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

To deliver the Jwala experience — including the Skyboy and Clowngod AI personas, the Court Room feature, and Image Analysis — we collect the following categories of information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and login credentials provided at registration.
  • Conversation Data: Text inputs and interactions you have with the AI. This data is necessary for the AI to maintain session context and provide relevant, continuous responses.
  • Payment Information: Your bKash Transaction ID (TrxID) submitted for subscription verification. We do not store your bKash PIN, account number, or full financial credentials.
  • Usage Data: IP address, device type, browser type, and navigation patterns within the app. This helps us understand how users interact with the platform and identify technical issues.
  • Image Data: Images you upload for the Image Analysis feature. These are processed for analysis and are not stored permanently beyond the session unless you explicitly save them.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect strictly for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate your account and manage subscription access.
  • To power and personalize the AI's distinct responding styles (Skyboy and Clowngod).
  • To verify bKash payments and activate the appropriate subscription tier.
  • To improve our AI models — using de-identified, aggregated data only.
  • To ensure the safety, security, and integrity of the platform and its users.
  • To communicate important updates, such as changes to these policies or account-related notices.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest, to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any breaches and notifying affected users as required by law.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to fulfill legal obligations and resolve disputes.

  • Conversation History: Retained for the duration of your account. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Payment Records (TrxIDs): Retained for a minimum of 2 years for financial record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes.
  • Account Data: Deleted within 30 days of a verified account deletion request, except where retention is required by law.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Jwala uses cookies and browser local storage to enhance your user experience. Specifically, we use:

  • Session Cookies: Essential cookies required to keep you logged in during a browsing session. These are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Preference Storage: Local storage to remember UI preferences, such as your selected AI persona, so you do not have to reconfigure settings on each visit.

We do not currently use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. By using Jwala, you consent to the use of essential cookies as described above.

6. Special Note on AI Interactions

Jwala provides two distinct AI personas. Please be aware of the following when interacting with them:

  • Skyboy: Designed to respond with empathy and emotional consideration.
  • Clowngod: Designed to respond with directness and unfiltered language. Access to this persona is locked behind explicit user consent.

All responses are generated by AI. They do not represent professional medical, legal, or mental health advice. Jwala is a conversational tool, not a substitute for qualified professional support.

7. Third-Party Services

To operate the platform reliably, we use the following categories of third-party providers:

  • Cloud Hosting: Our application is hosted on Replit's cloud infrastructure. Replit may process certain technical data (such as server logs and request metadata) as part of hosting operations.
  • AI Infrastructure: Jwala's AI capabilities are powered by third-party large language model providers. Conversation data may be processed by these providers to generate responses. We select partners who maintain strong data protection commitments.
  • Payment Processing: bKash is used to process payments. bKash is subject to its own privacy policy and data handling practices.

All third-party partners are engaged under data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for purposes beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the service.

8. Children's Privacy

Jwala is intended exclusively for users aged 18 and above, as stated in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account and provided personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete that account and all associated data. If you believe a minor is using Jwala, please notify us immediately at contact@jwalaai.com.

9. Compliance with Bangladesh Law

Jwala operates under the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. We are committed to compliance with all applicable data protection legislation, including the Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025, the Cyber Security Act 2023, and any other relevant regulatory frameworks as they apply to digital services operating in Bangladesh.

10. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data at any time:

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated conversation history.
  • Right to Correction: You may request that inaccurate personal data be corrected.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Model Training: You may request that your conversation data not be used for AI model improvement purposes.
  • Right to Data Portability: Where technically feasible, you may request a structured export of your data.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where reasonably practicable, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of Jwala following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
